In honor of CTE Month, we celebrate Ms. Holmes!
Ms. Holmes teaches Principles of Ag and Vet Med in our Animal Science pathway and also leads Professional Communications at the high school. Her favorite CTE moment this year was taking students to National Convention and seeing our chapter represented on the national stage. Her favorite project so far has been when students created their own brands, and she’s excited for upcoming egg dissections and nail string art. Thank you, Ms. Holmes, for growing leaders and creativity! 🐣🌾✨

Today begins FFA Week! FFA is one of our CTE Student Organizations. Texas Future Farmers of America (FFA) is a dynamic student-led leadership development organization for students of agricultural education. The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Agriculture education is very broad and covers landscaping, floriculture, animal science, computer applications, accounting, environmental science, mechanics, and engineering. Regardless of an FFA member's career choice, the FFA provides opportunities to build and apply math, science, technology, and leadership skills to their life. The Robinson FFA chapter has been going strong since 1971! We have a very strong group of FFA students, and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments this year!

CTE Student Showcase - Exercise Science
“My favorite thing that we have done this year would have to be using a goniometer testing our range of motions. I love the fact that what I'm learning in class will actually translate to the career I want to pursue in the future. Kinesiology will help me know all the bodily functions and movements and things like that to be able to help people in the world the job I decide to pursue.” ~ Cash Parsons
“My favorite thing we’ve done is the hands-on stuff like learning about injuries, taping, and how different muscles work, because it’s very interesting and you actually get to apply what you’re learning. I like that the class is interactive and connects to real life, especially with sports and fitness. It makes learning about the body way more understandable. Kinesiology will help me in the future by teaching me how the body moves and how to prevent injuries, which is useful for sports, future careers in health, or fitness in general.” ~ Mia Waller

Today we celebrate Coach Jonas!
Coach Jonas leads our Kinesiology classes in the new Exercise Science program, giving students hands‑on practice in spine boarding, CPR, and emergency response. She’s excited for a Shark Tank–style project where students will design tech to enhance sports medicine. Thanks, Coach Jonas, for preparing students to keep athletes safe and well! 🩺🏃♂️💡

CTE Student Showcase - Medical Terminology
“My favorite thing we have done in Med Term this year is the career case, because it allowed me to have a larger look at my potential future career. What I love about Med Term is doing labs that allow us to have a look into what some medical careers deal with. For example, we have been looking at bacteria around the school which gives us a look into the career of Bacteriologists and Microbiologists. I also love Med Term because it will help me in the future. For example, knowing medical terminology will help me communicate more proficiently and clearly, as it is used in the medical field daily. I also love that it teaches me the criteria I need to understand in order to be successful in my future career.” ~ Kaislee Moore

Today, we recognize Mrs. Key!
Mrs. Key teaches Medical Terminology, which falls in our Health Science and Exercise Science pathways. Her favorite CTE project this year? A fun Twinkie dissection that helped students explore directional planes. Thanks for making learning hands‑on and memorable, Mrs. Key! 🧠🔬✨

CTE Student Showcase - Anatomy & Physiology
“My favorite thing that I have done in Anatomy is probably histology. It was one of the first things we learned, but it's incredibly important to be able to understand the rest of the body systems. I also think it's interesting how the different shapes of cells in tissue are used for different functions and places in the body! The thing I love most about Anatomy is learning about the different diseases and disorders of every body system, and how to spot and treat those issues. I plan to study medicine and become an internal medicine physician, so learning anatomy and physiology of the body is one of the most important core parts to know before studying medicine.” ~ Sarah Lewis
“We just did a lymphatic system project, and I liked that It was a new style for the class. I like how we are able to work at our own pace. This class has given me a better idea on the type of work I could do in college.” ~ Cheyenne Faught
