Today, we celebrated the recipients of Industry Based Certifications from this school year. 48 IBCs were earned! We celebrated AWS certifications, an Adobe certification, CMAs, Fundamentals of Animal Science certifications, and Level 1 Floral certifications. While at the THWS State Finals, some of our welding students opted to participate in the Texas Wet Welding Championship put on by The Ocean Corporation. We received the results today.
We are excited to announce that each of those participants are being awarded a $1000 TOC Scholarship.
In addition, we are proud to announce that our very own Isaac Parker placed 1st overall in the championship. He will be awarded an additional $6250 TOC Scholarship!
Way to go, Isaac! And, congratulations to everyone who participated! We may have some future underwater welders in our building!
