As we close out another week of CTE Month, we want to celebrate Mrs. Lisa Judd, our Business Management teacher. Mrs. Judd is in her second year of teaching the Business Management course, which falls into our Business Management Program of Study. Mrs. Judd’s students have the opportunity to learn how to plan for managing all aspects of a business. Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Judd and her contributions to our CTE program.
We want to be sure and celebrate Dr. Rhonda Harmond for CTE Month and HOSA Week. Did you know that Dr. Harmond is a CTE teacher? She has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology for 7 years. Anatomy and Physiology is a CTE course in both our Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services AND our Exercise Science pathways. Please help us celebrate Dr. Harmond and her contributions to our Health Science CTE programs.
As we continue to celebrate CTE Month and our first annual HOSA Week, we want to celebrate an upcoming new member of our CTE staff, Coach Kelly Jonas. Coach Jonas will be teaching Kinesiology next year as part of our new Exercise Science Program of Study. Coach Jonas already has a Student Athletic Training staff, and we are excited to bring Kinesiology and Exercise Science in to support that program. Coach Jonas is in her second year of Athletic Training. Please join us in both welcoming and celebrating Coach Jonas!
Today, we are celebrating Ms. Kayla Garrett, our Health Science teacher and HOSA sponsor. Ms. Garrett is in her 2nd year of teaching CTE. Health Science classes are part of our Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services pathway. HOSA is our Health Science student organization. We have 5 students going to state for HOSA this year. Ms. Garrett is also our lead CTE teacher. Please join us in celebrating Ms. Garrett and her contributions to our CTE program.

As part of CTE Month, we will be celebrating our first HOSA Week next week! We are proud to be sending 5 of our HOSA members to State later this Spring. Please join us in celebrating!
Today, for CTE Month, we are recognizing Mr. James Jenkins, our Audio/Video Productions teacher. AV Productions courses are a part of our Digital Communications pathway. Many of our AV students are a part of Rocket Vision, and you can find these students filming most of the events that we have at Robinson from Friday night football and soccer games to Pre-K graduations. Students are trained in graphic design, animation, filming, and editing, and they also run the switchboard for our big scoreboard. Mr. Jenkins’s students also have the opportunity to gain Adobe certifications as well as the training they need to be successful in AV careers beyond high school. Please help us in celebrating Mr. Jenkins and his contributions to our CTE program.

To continue our celebration of CTE Month, we want to recognize Mr. Jeff McNew, our Construction Tech teacher. Construction Tech courses are a part of our Carpentry Program of Study. These students make many contributions to our campus and community. As an example, the wooden reindeers and trees that you see decorating the park have been made by Mr. McNew’s students over the past several years. Mr. McNew’s students also participate in SkillsUSA, a CTE Student Organization. They work on projects that they showcase and win awards for at SkillsUSA competitions. Please help us in celebrating Mr. McNew and his contributions to our CTE program.
