Career and Technical Education
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is dedicated to equipping students with the academic and technical skills necessary for success in future careers and as lifelong learners. The Robinson ISD CTE program empowers students to gain employment in high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers, or to continue their education.
The sequencing of courses, known as Programs of Study, is carefully designed to ensure that students have opportunities to acquire the skills needed to earn industry-based certifications and develop professional portfolios, preparing them for the next steps beyond high school.
Robinson ISD CTE Program
The Robinson ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program aims to equip students with the high-quality education and skills necessary for thriving in their post-secondary endeavors. The key objectives of the RISD CTE program include:
Aligning Programs and Curriculum: Ensuring the programs and curriculum are aligned with evolving industry trends and student interests.
Building Community Connections: Fostering lasting connections with businesses in the local and regional community.
Preparing for In-Demand Careers: Ensuring students are prepared for high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand job opportunities.
By focusing on these goals, the RISD CTE program strives to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and industry connections needed to succeed in their chosen post-secondary paths, whether that be further education, vocational training, or direct entry into the workforce.
