Hey Parents! Just another friendly reminder to make sure you are TURNING RIGHT when you drop off or pick up your student(s). There were several times this morning lines were to the front door of the school because people were trying to turn left or go straight. Please please please TURN RIGHT. This helps with the traffic and gets everyone dropped off faster. Thanks so much to the ones who have been doing this and the ones that will begin doing this.

Hey Parents! If you did not pick up your fundraiser items please do so today or tomorrow. We will be available between 7:30-4:00.

REMINDER FOR TODAY- Big Kahuna Fundraiser items will be here for pick up on Friday, October 30th from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Look for the Fundraiser trailer in the front parking lot of the school. Items will be disbursed straight out of the trailer.

Robinson ISD will start serving free breakfast and lunch to all enrolled students beginning on Monday, November 2, 2020.
Recently, the USDA passed a waiver to allow free meals under the Seamless Summer Option for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. A meal must always have a fruit or vegetable on the tray with two other components or it will be priced as ala carte. Parents/Guardians will still be responsible for charges on their student's account for ala carte items such as bottled water, cookies or ice cream.
Students who are attending as virtual learners can pick up meals at Robinson Intermediate, which is located at 605 S. Old Robinson Road. Meals will be served from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. each school day.
The curbside meal program is also available to other children in the community that are 18 years of age or younger.

Hey Parents-We contacted LifeTouch today about the status of the yearbooks. They do not have an ETA for us. Once we do receive any information we will get that to you. Please feel free to contact Otis Hamlett - ohamlett@lifetouch.com

Hey Parents! Please make sure your email is correct in Skyward. If you have been receiving information for registration, etc, then it is correct. If you have not, please go in and correct. If you need help, please email Terra Plemons or Sara Laughlin with the correct email, and we can fix it in Skyward for you. This will be the way school information will be disseminated. Thanks so much, and we are looking forward to a great year.

Hey Parents! I received this from LifeTouch. We have been in contact with them since May. We still have not received the yearbooks but have continuously been in contact with them.
Dear Families,
Lifetouch is currently on a journey to provide a World Class experience for you, as a valued
yearbook customer. We know how important yearbooks are - especially in times like these.
We wanted to make you aware that due to COVID-19, Lifetouch has had governmentmandated shut-downs in some of our production facilities and social distancing protocols in
others that have reduced our capacity for printing yearbooks. Be assured that everyone who
ordered a yearbook will receive one. However, the delivery of your yearbook is delayed.
Lifetouch is working hard to produce your yearbook and we can’t wait to get the finished
product in your hands. We will work closely with your school on a plan for distribution. It is
always our intention to provide you with the very best service and products and we thank
you for your patience and understanding. We value the trust you place in us to capture and
preserve your important school memories.
Sincerely,
Otis Hamlett

April 6-9 we invite you to join us in a social-emotional learning spirit week. See the image for more details. Please share your pictures from this and all at-home learning at https://photos.app.goo.gl/yzZvVEPHPcgi1N1bA

We miss our students, and hope you are all well. This important message about COVID-19 will help to keep you safe and healthy. The most important thing you can do right now is stay at home! If that’s not possible, practice social distancing by staying 6 feet from others. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs and countertops. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth, and cover a cough or sneeze with your elbow. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 – a fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath, call your doctor. Remember, by staying apart now, we can all be together again faster!

The Governor just announced that schools will remain closed through Friday, May 1st. RISD will update the FAQ and send an email update by tomorrow morning. Please continue to stay healthy and patient through this time! We love and miss our Rockets!

We hope you enjoy the first at-home instruction video from the pictures that were submitted through our instructional resources site at risdweb.org.

Afternoon Pick Up -3:15-Please have a sign with your child’s name so the teachers calling names can see it. The afternoon line will flow as the morning line does. At this time, the afternoon car line is doing great and has the routine down. Thank you so much for that and continuing to take turns.
In the back in the afternoon, parents, whoever is the first in line please make sure to pull up all the way to the street light, past where the dumpsters are in the parking lot. That helps us get the majority of our cars off of Old Robinson Road. Parents, thank you for coming down Moonlight, Foster, or Ward for the back pick up. That has helped so much!! Please do not try to cut in line in the back by coming down Old Robinson Road from the Lyndale side. This has begun to happen. The reason we need EVERYONE to line up on the Moonlight side of Old Robinson Road is to help with traffic of cars not picking up students and the flow of traffic from the front of the school. We need everyone to be patient and know we have a lot of students walking home and cars have to be looking for those students walking. I want all kids to be safe!
I appreciate all your efforts in this matter. I know that we can all agree that we want our students to get to and from our cars to school as safely as possible and have a great day at school. Again, please be patient with each other. Our students are watching us to be the examples for them.
It has been a great semester and I am looking forward to a great rest of the year!!!
